Independence
Love Washington DC is an independent guide. We are not affiliated with the Smithsonian, the National Park Service, Destination DC or any government body. We accept no payment to feature a venue, and recommendations reflect our own editorial judgement.
Accuracy and sourcing
- We base practical advice on first-hand visits and official sources — the NPS, the Smithsonian, WMATA and venue operators.
- For anything that changes — hours, fares, timed passes, closures — we link the official source and ask you to confirm it close to your dates.
- We avoid quoting prices that date quickly; where a number moves often, we explain how the system works instead.
- Official references are gathered on our sources page.
Updates and corrections
Every guide shows a last-updated date. We keep stable advice (routes, neighborhoods, pacing) steady and revisit volatile details on a regular review cycle. If you spot something out of date or wrong, let us know and we'll fix it. More about who we are is on our about page.
